The Hulme Group help Classic Catering save £10,000 December 2011
One of the UK’s leading manufacturers and distributors of specialist patisserie products; Classic Catering, have predicted savings of £10,000 upon their fuel costs upon the addition of a 7.5t Isuzu Forward truck supplied by The Hulme Group.
Classic Catering operate from their head office and production facilities in Manchester, but run a daily route to their London based distribution centre in Wembley, covering over 2400 miles per week.
The Hulme Group have supplied Classic Catering’s first ever Isuzu to their existing fleet of 19 trucks, with the Isuzu already showing a 3mpg improvement in fuel economy with David Mincher Classic Catering’s Logistics and Warehouse Manager commenting; ‘Almost immediately we have been able to achieve a significant fuel saving and we are confident that the mpg figures will continue to impress us as the Isuzu beds in’.
The Isuzu Forward supplied is fitted with the Easyshift transmission and a full wind deflector kit to enhance fuel economy performance, in an economic climate when keeping distribution costs low is imperative for any business.

The Hulme Group supply Lucky Red with new trucks December 2011
The Hulme Group has supplied two Isuzu Forward 7.5 tonne refrigerated trucks to national food distributors Lucky Red. As part of the Yearsley Group, Lucky Red specialise in the temperature-controlled delivery of premium foodstuffs from their base in Middleton, North Manchester. Upon their decision to choose Isuzu and The Hulme Group, Lucky Red said; ‘the combination of the product’s strong reputation for reliability and impressive payload capacity made them our number one choice’.
The Isuzu 7.5t rigids feature the Easyshift semi-automated transmission system, with the Solomon reefer bodies use Carrier Transicold Xarios 600 direct drive refrigeration systems, making them ideal for the multi drop regional work they will be assigned with.
The trucks will be used primarily for supplying Chinese restaurants in the North of England, covering an estimated 80,000 miles per year each, making features such as the triple opening rear doors and single pallet width side door to the nearside imperative to their task.
With temperature controlled food distribution a significant market sector for Isuzu trucks, we look forward to working more closely with this sector across the North West.

We are pleased to announce the Hulme Group has restructured and is now part of a larger Commercial Organisation, namely Leyland Holding Company Limited.
Leyland Holding Company Ltd (LHCL), being a £20m plus turnover group, will provide the financial stability required for the Hulme Group to development the business over the coming years.
LHCL are keen to work with Steve & Angela Hulme who will remain part shareholders and Directors of the newly restructured business.

Isuzu Trucks UK adds Hulme Group to dealer network December 2010
We are delighted to announce that Isuzu Trucks UK has added The Hulme Group to its dealer network.
As part of the franchise, The Hulme Group will now be responsible for all sales, service and parts activity for the Japanese heavy truck manufacturer, who are headquartered in Tokyo, and will help them to develop the presence of the brand throughout Manchester and the surrounding areas.

Christmas Donation December 08
The Hulme Group have decided, this year, not to send Christmas Cards to their customers. Instead we will be making a donation to Derian House Children’s Hospice at Chorley. I’m sure all our customers will agree the money will be put too much better use by Derian House. They are currently raising funds to build a new wing dedicated to terminally ill teenagers. Hulme Group sponsor Transaid event June 08
On Tuesday June 4th, The Hulme Group sponsored a charity evening at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester in support of Transaid.
Transaid seeks to reduce poverty and quality of life through providing better access to basic services such as health, education and economic opportunities in Africa and other parts of the developing world.
By working with the UK transport and logistics industry, Transaid builds local skills and knowledge to make transport safer, cheaper and more effective.
